District Superintendent Nellie Meyer, Ph.D., and Principal Kip Glazer, Ph.D., provided updates and answered  questions. There were updates on Spartan PAUSE, Parent Education, Grad Night and ASB. Special guests Jennifer Springer and Priyoti Ahmed shared information about the Mentor Tutor Connection and MV Safe Routes to School.  Please see below for more information about the guest speakers.

Mentor Tutor Connection
Mentor Tutor Connection (MTC) is a small local non-profit whose goal is to help young people in the community reach their full potential and thrive. Services are provided to enhance the academic, social, and emotional growth of students through meaningful connections with adult volunteer mentors and tutors. In order to continue to serve the needs of our students, MTC is looking for volunteers to tutor K- 8 students and mentor high school students in the Los Altos & Mountain View schools. If you have questions or would like to hear more about how you can support local students please contact us at: programs@mentortutorconnection.org. Mentor Tutor Connection (MTC) es una pequeña organización local sin fines de lucro cuyo objetivo es ayudar a los jóvenes de la comunidad a alcanzar su máximo potencial y prosperar. MV Safe Routes to School
Mountain View’s Safe Routes to School is working with all schools in Mountain View and Los Altos High School to educate students about safety and gather input to address some of the design issues near schools. Priyoti Ahmed,  transportation planner for the city of Mountain View, will be joining the PTSA to discuss the Safe Routes to School Program and the walk audit for MVHS taking place 8:10-9:40 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 25. 
 
MV Rutas Seguras a la Escuela
Safe Routes to School de Mountain View está trabajando con todas las escuelas de Mountain View y Los Altos High School para educar a los estudiantes sobre la seguridad y recopilar información para abordar algunos de los problemas de diseño cerca de las escuelas. Priyoti Ahmed, planificadora de transporte de la ciudad de Mountain View, se unirá a nosotros para hablar sobre el programa Rutas seguras a la escuela y auditoría de caminata para MVHS que se lleva a cabo el Jueves 25 de enero de 8:10 a 9:40 a.m.

District Superintendent Dr. Nellie Meyer provided an update on the Mountain View Los Altos District, and Principal Dr. Kip Glazer gave the report on Mountain View High. There were reports from Sports Boosters, the Grad Night Committee, the Ambassadors, MV Cares Baskets and ASB/Leadership. And there was a special presentation on Career Technical Education (CTE).
