Grad Night is a long-standing MVHS tradition that provides a safe and fun way for students to spend their graduation night.

Grad Night is an all-night party put on by senior parents to provide each graduating student of the senior class a safe, alcohol, tobacco, and drug-free place to celebrate their achievements and enjoy a fun event with their friends and classmates.

It will be held Thursday, June 6, through early morning Friday, June 7. After the graduation ceremony, students board buses that will take them to the secret Grad Night location. Before boarding the bus, grads have time to change out of their robes and into casual clothes. There is also a brief PTSA-hosted reception and time for photos with family and friends.

Absolutely! Year after year, students who attend Grad Night rave about how much fun it was and this year promises to deliver more of the same! For the past few years, most seniors have attended. The goal every year is 100% participation.

No. While the students may dance, it’s a fun-filled night with all-night food, beverages, activities, games, entertainment, and of course, a DJ. There will also be quiet activities for those who wish to be less active or take a break from all the fun.

The party is very casual. Graduates may wear whatever is comfortable and allows movement to participate in various activities. Closed-toe shoes are required.

This is an event for the students to celebrate graduation as a class. Only parents who volunteer to work at the party are allowed to attend.

It is kept secret for two reasons: One is to keep the students guessing about the location, which adds to the adventure, and the second is to assure that there is no contraband or gate crashing. Only a handful of parents will know the site. Committee members and volunteers will be informed on a need-to-know basis.

Included is the site rental cost, the charter buses, food, beverages, activities, prizes and entertainment for the 7 hours they are at the party.

No, the admission price includes everything for every person for the entire night!

The PTSA fundraises for Grad Night because the initial discounted price is lower than the per-student cost, and the PTSA provides scholarships for those who would find the admission price a hardship. Please consider a direct donation to this important event.

Scholarships are available through the Grad Night Fundraising Committee. You can request a full or partial scholarship on the online registration form.

The goal is to provide a full night of safe celebration for the graduates.

Yes. Early departures must be arranged with the grad committee prior to the party, and the graduate must be picked up by a parent or guardian.

Transportation is provided to and from the party site. Each student will need transportation home from MVHS after Grad Night, at approximately 5 a.m. Students may leave a car in the MVHS parking lot; a security guard will be in attendance to ensure cars are safe after graduation.
