The National Honor Society (NHS) is one of the nation’s premier high school organizations, established in 1921 in order to recognize and empower students who have demonstrated excellence in the NHS pillars of scholarship, service, leadership, and character.

NHS chapters operate in all 50 states, outlying U.S. territories, and in many schools across the globe, engaging and serving more than one million students. Chapter membership is highly selective, and each NHS chapter aims to recognize students for their accomplishments and encourage further involvement in school activities and community service.

Applications for NHS membership in the 2023-2024 school year can be found at this link. Students seeking membership should use their student email account to complete the application, and new members will be welcomed to the organization in September.
