Hello Spartans:
Progress Reports Update
For the first time, we sent the progress reports electronically to our students. As usual, you can access them on Aeries, and we do send some home when you request them. However, the practice of sending every student a physical copy will cease.
I want to thank Bob Fishtrom and the IT Department for working with us on this. I want to also thank Dr. Heather Morelli, Miriam Amay-Atayde, Eric Rodriguez, and Carol Johnson for all their efforts in making this possible. Finally, I want to thank all the teachers for submitting their final grades on time.
Tutorial Reset
I would like to thank Abigail Dennison for taking the lead on Minga implementation for the past couple of years. With her assistance, we have implemented Tutorial notification to the parents. We believe that Tutorial is a valuable resource for our students, and we want to make sure they are spending their time wisely. We ask that you have a conversation with your students to ensure that they are checking in to a class during Tutorial period.
Celebrating our Future Business Leaders of America!
Congratulations to our students in FBLA!
According to Ms. Gilmore, while some schools had over 200 participants, we had 20 and still placed. The top 6th can compete in the state competition.
The scholars, who won awards in the FBLA California Bay Section, are as follows:
Alexey Fedorov - 1st place in Business Management
Aidan Pao and Neel Dhuru - 3rd place in Sports & Entertainment Management
Andrea Wong - 5th place in Public Speaking
Lucas Nam - 6th place in Introduction to Information Technology
Anika Pichaiah - 6th place in Impromptu Speaking
Aaron Seto - 7th place in Introduction to Business Concepts
Neel Dhuru - 9th place in International Business
Claire Feng, Evan Olmstead, Dana Manor - 10th place in Marketing
Olivia Nam - 10th place in Introduction to Business Communication
Mountain View High School - 10th place Sweepstakes.
Enjoy your break!
I hope that you have a restful break next week. Please know that the main office will be closed.
Thank you,
Kip Glazer, Ed.D.

Dr. Amber Woodward serves as MVLA’s CTE & Dual Enrollment Specialist, playing a vital role in expanding opportunities for our students.
What does Dr. Woodward do?
Secures external grant funding to help cover the nearly $3 million required to operate MVLA’s Career Technical Education (CTE) programs.
Manages detailed reporting for state, federal, and private grant programs to ensure compliance and continued funding.
Partners with teachers to help them earn and maintain their CTE credentials, which require specialized coursework and recent industry experience in their field.
Works closely with local community colleges and MVLA teachers to provide dual-enrollment courses on our campuses, which gives students the opportunity to earn both high school and college credit.
And much more to support career-connected learning.
Dr. Woodward’s position is made possible through donor support, and we are deeply grateful for the impact her work has on our students’ education.
