Umbrella PTA Organizations

LOS ALTOS MOUNTAIN VIEW PTA COUNCIL
This PTA Council serves three school districts: Los Altos Elementary School District, Mountain View Los Altos High School District and Mountain View Whisman School District. They are part of the Sixth District, Santa Clara County, of the California State PTA, affiliated with the National PTA.
Sixth District PTA, encompassing Santa Clara, Monterey, Santa Cruz, and San Benito Counties, is one of 28 PTA Districts that make up the California State PTA. Sixth District PTA serves approximately 225 PTA Units. Sixth District PTA is made up of 9 Council PTAs that help govern and manage regions within Sixth District.
California State PTA connects families, schools and communities. We are part of the foundation of our public-education system and a trusted messenger to millions of members, parents, families, educators and allied agencies throughout the state. PTA is the nation’s largest volunteer-led child-advocacy association working to drive improvements in the education, health and well-being of all children and families.

For 125 years, PTA has worked with school communities and decision makers to solve the toughest problems in our nation’s history.
