On March 21, Mountain View Science Olympiad’s Black, Gold, and White teams took on the Santa Clara County Regionals, competing against 50 of the strongest teams in one of the most competitive regions in the state. And they absolutely delivered!
The Black Team earned an outstanding 1st place overall, bringing home 21 medals! The Gold Team followed with an impressive 4th place finish and 14 medals, and the White Team was right behind with a 5th place finish and 13 medals. What an incredible showing across the board!
I couldn’t be more proud of our students! Their dedication, teamwork, and excellence truly shine.
A huge thank you as well to Mr. West for his continued support and leadership in guiding these students to success.
What a season, and I am already looking forward to what’s next! Congratulations again!

I am so excited to share that one of our seniors, Nya Payne, has been awarded the Seymour Memorial Scholarship by the California Scholarship Federation (CSF). She received her award at the Central Coast Region awards ceremony on Saturday, April 11, at Gilroy High School.
Her father, Mr. Payne, has been a teacher and coach at Mountain View High School, and I also had the pleasure of working with Nya over the years. I also want to thank Mr. Campbell for his support as the CSF advisor.
