Hello Spartans:

I hope you had a great week!

Thank you to a great Back to School Night! It was so great to hear from several parents how impressed they were of our school, our teachers, our staff, and our student leaders who supported the event.

I have so many people to thank, so instead of accidentally leaving out any person, I am choosing to share my profound gratitude to all who organized, supported, and attended the event.

We have the most amazing community, and I am grateful to be a part of our MVHS community.

MVHs Principal's Tech Internship Program is assisting me on our site-based technology and AI work. The students and I will participate in the Family Partnership Council next week, and we need your assistance.

If you are able, please complete this survey let us know which topics that we should consider as we continue to work on supporting our staff and students. This is only for the parents.

I am the owner of this survey, and all information will be treated with the utmost care. We appreciate your support and participation.

First of all, I know that the majority of our students always follow the rules and what I am about to share should NOT be considered as anything other than my attempt to be crystal clear of our expectations.

Please remember that no student should be ordering food to be delivered to school. In addition, having that delivered to neighbor's home is strictly prohibited.

Please know that some neighbors informed the school that they consider students being on their property without permission as trespassing, which is against the law.

Because many of our neighbors have cameras, we routinely receive video footages of our students' activities, and we appreciate you do not loiter in the neighborhood during school hours.

We appreciate your consideration and cooperation.

Please remember that we have two early outs next week.

On Tuesday, 9/1, both the library and the Tutorial Center (TC) will be closed in the afternoon until 3:29 p.m. On Wednesday, 9/2, both the library and TC will be open.

Please use the bike racks only as we must cut the locks to remove bikes if they are tied to a pole or a tree.

Also, please be careful not to connect your bike to another bike when you lock it. We had to cut a few locks when another Spartan couldn't retrieve the bike because of this.

We continue to receive the reports of stolen bike left on campus over night. Please do not leave your bike on campus even with a lock.

Please know that we have received words from our MVPD Partners that they will begin enforcing the parking rules and ticket drivers starting next Monday, August 31. Please be sure to read all signs and follow the traffic rules.

We will also enforce parking rules on campus as well, which means you should leave your home early enough to give yourself ample time to get to campus.

Traffic safety is extremely importance, and we appreciate your cooperation.

The MVHS PTSA supports so many great programs and we can’t do it without your help. We’re aiming for 100% membership participation. At the same time, we’re just $15,000 short of reaching our overall Direct Donation and Scholarship Donations goal. 

You can join and donate to the PTSA in the “Welcome Back” packet HERE. Please help us meet our goals by completing these forms prior to September 30th.

We hope you will attend our first PTSA meeting of the school year to learn more about the PTSA and hear from other groups on campus!

The Carbon Free Commute and Green Teams will be out greeting students who leave the car at home and 8 lucky students will win a gift certificate generously donated by Mr. Sun Tea. 

Our lunch volunteers are critical in making sure students get lunch quickly and safely. We would love to have you join the team (weekly, or once a month, or whatever works for you schedule). It is fun and easy!

Hey Spartans!

Our first COPS meeting is arriving soon on Friday, September 4th during tutorial in the theater. During this meeting, we will cover information, forms, and rules regarding clubs. All club presidents are required to attend or send a board member if you can’t attend. We look forward to seeing you there!

8/28/26- Last day to add a new class

8/28/26- Outside course transcripts for seniors are due

8/31/26- Counselors present to all freshman during PE classes

9/18/26- Last day to drop a class without a W on the MVHS transcript
