Principal's Message

Hello Spartans:

I hope you had a great week!

Congratulations to Varsity Football!

Even though it was so late getting home last night, I am happy to report that our Varsity team won last night's game!

I want to also report that our amazing band did the field show, and our cheerleaders were spectacular as usual.

Most importantly, I want to acknowledge the leaders of the 6th Man Club and so many underclassmen who were there to support our players.

It makes my heart so happy to see our students to coming together to support on another, and I am thrilled that the night ended with a WIN!

We’re aiming for 100% membership participation, and we’re just $15,000 short of reaching our overall Direct Donation and Scholarship Donations goal. Help us get there! You can join and donate to the PTSA in the “Welcome Back” packet HERE.

SPARTANS PAUSE - NEXT EVENT SEPTEMBER 25TH!

Spartans PAUSE is a student wellness initiative providing a variety of health-promoting activities to all students on a monthly basis during lunch. On Friday, Aug 28th, we held our first PAUSE of the year, which included beaded keychains, slime-making, lawn games, giant bubbles, therapy dogs, music, snacks and a “Pass on the Positivity” wall. The afternoon was filled with connection and positive energy and was a great way to start the year. PAUSE days are planned by our MVHS student ambassadors, supported by parents, and staff advisor Lauren Camarillo and paid for by our amazing PTSA. The goals of PAUSE are to:
  1. Empower youth to be advocates for their health
  2. Help eliminate the stigma of seeking help
  3. Offer a community that cares and supports
  4. Increase connections on campus and
  5. Provide students with self-care tips and wellness tools

If you would like to get involved, email Spartans PAUSE chair, Tammie Choi at SpartansPause@gmail.com You can view the Aug 28th PAUSE video to see highlights of the day and check out the PAUSE YouTube channel to watch past PAUSE videos.

Here’s to a happy and healthy school year!
